About Services

Counselling

Counselling is a talk-based support space. It helps you explore what you're feeling, where those feelings come from, and what you need. We look at patterns, relationships, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped you — without judgment or pressure. When you feel seen and understood, the nervous system settles. This is often where relief begins.

Coaching

Coaching focuses on where you’re heading and who you’re becoming. We explore clarity, confidence, boundaries, purpose, and aligned action. Coaching helps you move forward in a way that feels sustainable and true to your values, without burnout or self-sacrifice.

Somatic Work

Somatic work supports the connection between your mind and body. When stress or past experiences haven’t been processed, the body often holds the tension — as tightness, heaviness, restlessness or feeling constantly “on alert.”

Through gentle breath, slowing down, grounding and noticing what the body is communicating, we help your nervous system return to a state of safety. When the body feels safe, it can finally let go.

Most people find that they:

  • feel calmer and more grounded

  • react less and respond with more clarity

  • sleep better and recover from stress more easily

Research shows that body-based therapies can reduce anxiety and trauma symptoms by helping regulate the nervous system.
When your body settles, your mind can too.

EFT (Tapping)

EFT involves tapping lightly on acupressure points while acknowledging what you’re feeling. This reduces the brain’s stress response and helps create emotional relief. Studies show EFT can reduce cortisol by up to ~43% and is associated with significant improvements in anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm. Most people say tapping helps them feel calmer, clearer, and more in control.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

NLP works with the patterns in your thinking. The meaning we attach to experiences shapes our emotional reactions. When we shift the internal story, how we feel and respond changes naturally. NLP helps build confidence, reduce self-criticism, and support behavioural change — without force.

Time Line Therapy®

Time Line Therapy helps release emotional patterns that have been carried for a long time. We follow your internal “timeline” back to the root cause of a feeling, belief, or pattern — not to relive it, but to reframe and release it. This works at the subconscious level, helping you view the past from a more grounded, compassionate lens so it no longer triggers you in the present. Clients report feeling lighter and clearer with strong outcomes, especially for long-standing beliefs and emotional shifts.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle healing practice that originated in Japan in the early 1900s. It works with the body’s natural energy and relaxation response. The practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the body to support balance in the nervous system.

Reiki helps shift the body out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and restore.” Many people describe the experience as warm, soothing and deeply calming — like their whole system finally has permission to exhale.

Common effects people notice:

  • reduced stress and emotional tension

  • improved sleep and restfulness

  • feeling grounded and more at ease in their body

  • a quiet, clear mind

Research suggests Reiki may help reduce pain, anxiety, and stress by supporting the parasympathetic nervous system — the part of the body responsible for relaxation and healing.

In simple terms:
Reiki helps your body remember how to rest.

Reiki Massage using Bioelectric Meridian Therapy

This treatment works with the body’s meridian system (the same energy pathways used in acupuncture) and the fascia, where tension is often held. Gentle electrical stimulation and light massage help release built-up stress in the body, soften tightness and restore natural flow.

Reiki is included throughout the treatment to deeply calm the nervous system. Most people describe floating out of the room — feeling lighter, clearer and more relaxed.

This session is especially supportive for:

  • high stress or overwhelm

  • anxiety or emotional heaviness

  • tension in the body

  • anyone needing grounding and a reset

During your session:

  • Small electrode pads are placed around the hip area

  • Supportive underwear and loose, comfortable pants are recommended

Note: Not suitable for those with pacemakers or implanted electrical devices.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment — gently, without judgment. When we’re stressed, our minds tend to jump into the past (replaying things) or into the future (what-ifs and worries). Mindfulness helps bring us back into our body, our breath, and the moment we’re actually living in.

This isn’t about “emptying your mind” or forcing calm. It’s about learning to notice what’s happening with more curiosity and less overwhelm.

With regular practice, mindfulness has been shown to:

  • reduce stress and anxiety

  • improve emotional resilience

  • support clearer thinking and decision-making

  • lower reactivity in high-pressure situations

  • improve sleep and overall wellbeing

There is a strong evidence base behind mindfulness. Clinical research has shown that even 10–15 minutes a day can meaningfully reduce stress and help regulate the nervous system.

In our sessions, mindfulness isn’t something you “try to get right.”
I guide you gently into the body — helping you recognise how your thoughts, emotions and nervous system interact.

You’ll learn simple practices you can use anywhere — in the car, in a meeting, at home, or when stress rises.

Mindfulness helps you come back to yourself —
so you can respond to life with more calm and clarity, instead of feeling overwhelmed by it.

Breathwork

Breathwork uses intentional breathing patterns to support your nervous system. When we’re stressed, our breath becomes short, tight or held — sending signals to the brain that we’re unsafe. By slowing and deepening the breath, we send the opposite message: I am safe now.

This shifts the body out of fight-or-flight and back into rest-and-restore, which helps the mind settle and the body soften.

Breathwork can support:

  • anxiety and overwhelm

  • emotional intensity or shutdown

  • difficulty relaxing or sleeping

  • racing thoughts or looping worry

  • feeling disconnected from the body

Even a few minutes of guided breath can create noticeable change.

Research shows that controlled breathing can:

  • reduce heart rate and blood pressure

  • improve oxygen flow and focus

  • support emotional regulation

  • increase heart rate variability (linked to resilience and stress recovery)

In our sessions, breathwork is always gentle, trauma-aware and paced for your system — never pushy or overwhelming. Your body leads; I guide.

You’ll learn simple techniques you can use anywhere — in moments of stress, before sleep, during emotional waves, or to reconnect with yourself when life feels busy.

Over time, breathwork becomes a steady anchor —
a way back to calm, clarity, and your own inner ground.

General & Practical Questions

Can we include tarot or intuitive guidance in a session?

Yes — if it feels supportive for you. Tarot can be used as a gentle reflective tool to help bring insight, language, and clarity to what you’re experiencing. It’s not about predicting outcomes, but about understanding your inner landscape more deeply.

I read intuitively, with grounding and intention, to help highlight themes, patterns, and directions that may already be present within you. The focus is always on empowerment, self-awareness and choice — never on telling you what to do or who to be.

Are sessions online or in-person?

Counselling and coaching sessions are held online via Zoom. Online support is calm and convenient — your nervous system relaxes because you’re already in your own safe space. There’s no travel or rushing, just a comfortable setting where you can go inward.

You’ll need: a quiet, uninterrupted space, a comfortable place to sit or rest, and a stable internet connection.

If you’re local to Parkdale and would prefer in-person support, book a complimentary chat to discuss. Reiki and Bioelectric Meridian Therapy are offered in person only.

How many sessions will I need?

Every client is unique. Some feel relief after one or two sessions; others choose steady support. Many begin with a 6-week commitment, as consistent sessions allow emotional and nervous-system shifts to settle in gently.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed in sessions is confidential within ethical and legal guidelines. Your story is safe here.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. If a session is cancelled within 24 hours or missed, the full session fee applies. With more than 24 hours’ notice, you may reschedule or receive a full refund. Compassion and care come first — communication is key.

I’m not sure where to start — what should I do?
